Work alongside leading scientists in the world's largest artificial nocturnal frog habitat! Under supervision of scientists, team members can design and undertake a field trip to help identify new rainforest species.

Pacuare Nature Reserve, Carribean Coast

Beached Small Turtle

Work with an inspiring international conservation expert on nocturnal patrols to collect data on endangered giant leatherback sea turtles coming ashore on the most important nesting site in Costa Rica.

Collect and count eggs daily for incubation, or witness hatchlings breaking out of their nests. Conduct daily field trips into the rainforest behind the beach and learn about biodiversity, human activities, rainforest conservation and sustainability.

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve


Described by National Geographic as "the jewel in the crown of cloud forest reserves", this reserve has the largest number of orchids in the world, over 100 mammal and 400 bird species.

Participants will design and undertake exciting field trips to research succession, evolution, animal and primate social behaviour.

Whizz through tree-tops on a zip wire and carry out day treks through the cloud forest to observe sloths, toucans, white-faced monkeys and possums!

Visit the Monteverde Institute to learn first hand about sustainable management of global and local resources, climate change, and clean water resources.
