Under the supervision of scientists and inspiring conservation experts, you can:

  • Collect key data on highly endangered giant leatherback turtles on the most important nesting site in Costa Rica
  • Design and undertake field research in:-
    • The Verugua Rainforest Research Station, to help identify new rainforest species
    • The Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve, to gather data on succession, biodiversity, habitats, sustainable resource management, and animal behaviour
  • Whizz through rainforest tree-tops on a zipwire, and embark on jungle treks to see: sloths, toucans, white-faced monkeys and possums!
  • Hike to the rim of Poás Volcano, the largest active crater in the world, and to Volcan Arenal, Costa Rica's most famous volcano. Bring your textbook topics to life: plate tectonics, renewable energy and managing natural hazards.
  • Swim and snorkel off beautiful beaches and coral reefs of the Carribean coast!
