Learnt so much about the culture and the way of life in Zanzibar. All workshops were really fun and there was a huge range of things to do. It was amazing meeting all the people and snorkelling was fantastic. All the experiences were incredible - I wouldn't change a thing.
Our students have returned more passionate, more aware of the impact they have on the world, more tolerant, more united and with a greater sense of their international identity.
We are so happy with how the trip went and know that it has fundamentally affected the girls, with many now wanting to develop their careers in human rights, poverty reduction and development which is fantastic. I think the expedition definitely opened hearts and minds.
There are too many highlights on the itinerary to mention but what we did and saw challenged our worldview, made us humbler as human beings, and provided enough rest and fun at the same time. Thanks for exposing us to the tourist side but also the raw reality of life in Zanzibar.
